Alumnae Game

This past Saturday, 18 alums returned to campus for a pretty competitive alumnae game. The odd graduating years took on the even graduating years with the odds coming out on top with a two point win. At our game later that afternoon, all of the alums in attendance were recognized at half time and following our win, we had a wonderful reception with our current players, their families, our alums and their families. It was great to see so many former women's basketball players back on campus and to catch up with some of my own former teammates. We hope that next year even more alums will return to Mayser for the alumnae game!

Minute to Win It

On Friday evening our team got together for pizza and our own version of the game show, Minute to Win It. While we weren't playing for a million dollars like the contestants on TV, we had tons of fun.

SNOW!

Campus has a pretty blanket of snow thanks to Tuesday's snow storm. Our team has been back on campus for over two weeks now, as have many of the winter sports teams, but it is still quiet with the rest of the students at home for winter break. Classes start again this Tuesday, so we will be back to our regular schedule of practices in the late afternoon/evening after class. It has been nice to be able to practice during the day with plenty of time for our players to stop in on their own to do some extra shooting.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year! Our team is looking forward to our full slate of Centennial Conference games in 2011. Right now we sit in 5th place with a 3-2 conference record. We head down to Washington College on Wednesday for our first game in 2011 before returning home on Saturday to take on Swarthmore.
